This edition of Aintperfect Pleisures features work influenced by the lives of Chicago Youth, Free Labor, Sun Ra's 'There Are Other Worlds', Maya Angelou (interview w/ Studs Terkel), and the marriage of dear friends.

In the winter of '13-'14, JayVe Montgomery converted a small playhouse in his new backyard into Shangrilab of Shackle Island. Here exists his attempt to not leave this Earth with hard drives of sound to be discovered. Here exists the little bits of work the artist has noted as enjoyable as his daily practice revolves. These recordings from May 2014 are prone to make some heads bob and some hips gyrate, and may aid contemplation.

These tracks were created and captured live, in an all analog hardware environment. No computer was used to create these sounds. Maybe an iPad had some samples on it.
